When you work with Heald Quinn Associates, you will receive the benefit of 'The Learning Dome' as a basis for assessing your settings needs and delivering accordingly. This is a highly successful and proven method that has derived from many years of reasearch.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
If you require training sessions in the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), you will also be introduced to a planning and assessment process in line with the EYFS. We have proven success in our training and implementation of the EYFS as some of the nurseries we work with are now outstanding settings. The planning systems have received a special mention as being strong.
We are currently preparing for the delivery of training packages to address the changes to the EYFS that are due for release in April 2012.
Inspection preparation and support
You and your staff will receive ongoing support in preparation for inspection. You will work through your policies and procedures with us and we will support you in assessing impact upon the children. Our most recent success was to support a satisfactory setting in all areas to enable them to achieve excellence and an 'outstanding' grading. The report mentioned the work of ECA in bringing about improvement for the benefit of the children, parents and practitioners, and commended the setting for their commitment to improvement. Your staff will feel that they are confident in expressing their knowledge and understanding.
Performance management and supervision
When you work with us to embed a clear and effective performance management processes, and receive training in effective nursery management, you will also receive support in marketing strategies to enable you to build your reputation so that business comes from 'word of mouth'. This has been very successful with some of our settings now operating at close to 90% occupancy.
Self Evaluation Forms and systems
The Early Years Self Evaluation Form has presented a challenge for some settings. Heald Quinn Associates have developed a good system for auditing and evaluating provision, and completing the form with a clear summary of self evaluation procedures. You will find this to be very helpful and your staff will feel ready for inspection.

We have a number of articles published in Early Years Educator (EYE) and Nursery World over the last few months, giving a view on self evaluation as a tool, the principles of the EYFS, and the 'Learning Dome'.
